Under the sea sapphic romance adventure

Looking for your next spicy pirate romance short story full of lust and betrayal? Ever in the Waves by Erin Branch, part of The Pull of the Tide: A Sapphic Fantasy Romance Anthology, does this and a whole lot more. I was happy to receive this advanced reader copy from Erin and the opportunity to support her and the other amazing authors featured in this anthology.

The first line had me hooked on this sea adventure between Tarien and Ever as these lovers-turned-sworn-enemies are forced to work together to save a goddess’s power. With so much at stake and questionable allegiances, I quickly read this fast-paced short story to its epic and action-packed conclusion. Branch does a fantastic job of balancing 2 strong female leads and their points of view as they navigate their self-doubts, intimate desires for each other, and resilience to right the wrongs endured by the goddess and save humanity. Branch develops each of the characters really well; 1 witty and fun while the other is more serious and driven to provide a robust and well-rounded story.

I would like to see this short story developed into a full lengthy novel but from Tarien and Ever’s early romantic relationship before the mutiny. An oceanic ‘meet cute’ would be so much fun to read. If you’re looking for a sapphic sea adventure romance with intense desire, I highly recommend Ever in the Waves, a short story in The Pull of the Tide.
